Sometimes you just gotta go hike by yourself.

And today was one of those days.

I went out to Red Cliffs and hiked around playing with my very convenient water-proof camera. 

This is such a gorgeous hike and I can't wait to go back with some fellow human beings for some swimmin'.   :)

Funny/awkward story: I was wading through the water and as I made my way around a bend I happened upon a couple teenagers who were macking it out in the water. Of course they were right by a waterfall so splash as I tried, they did not hear me coming. 

So I sat down and waited for them to finish their biz so I could continue my hike. 

Friggin' people with love lives... psh.

Best yard-sale day to date.

This morning I was having a trippy dream, which isn't too unusual.

It was interrupted by my momma who asked if I wanted to go to Old Navy. 

60% off all denim shorts from 7-11AM.  

Sure, I'll get out of bed for that. 

10 bucks, yo. 

Perfect for my upcoming Cali trip! 

As we were driving home we passed a yard-sale and decided to check it out. 

That's where I found a 27inch Toshiba TV in awesome shape for 25 bucks. 

That baby's going in my room with the Nintendo 64 hooked up to it for Tetris marathons. 

We found another yard-sale on the way home and decided to have a look-see.

Heidi Braids.

I really love these Heidi braids I've been seeing everywhere lately. Since my hair is too short I thought I'd try them on Miss Mae. We didn't have one bobby pin in the house (I know, I know) so we made do with flower clips instead.

Anyways, I attempted to ombre my hair. I'm pretty pleased with the results. I just needed a little change to stir things up and this helped.

Another score is that I'm heading up to the wonderful place that is Salt Lake City, Utah this month for a much needed girl time with Ember and Fran. And Jess, you better drive down and hang out for at least one night. I will be calling you to discuss this. I love that I'm communicating to you through this.

Coincidence?

Yesterday I wrote a post and used the word titillating. I have never heard that word used before; I saw it in the thesaurus and used it. I also happened to be talking about Glee for a good portion of the post. When I was done with the post I watched Glee. In that episode someone used the word titillating. And I was not the biggest fan of the person who used the word or how they used it.
For those who watch Glee it was the red hair, glasses, blogger dude and he happened to be naked when he used the word. 

I literally almost paused Glee and edited my post to a new word but then I decided it was a funny coincidence that I should document instead. 

On a side note, does that happen to you all the time like it does me? 

You find a new word you've never heard before and suddenly someone uses it in the TV show you're obsessing over. Or you decide to move to New Zealand and suddenly everyone and their pet ferret has a story about New Zealand or knows someone there, and you run into a native New Zealander at your place of work right before you go. Or when you start "couponing" and suddenly you start seeing fellow couponers everywhere you turn. 

Seriously proves to me that your thoughts attract to you whatever it is you're thinking about. 

Think about it.
